Location: This is an office based position based in Monroe, LA, with regular travel to active project locations throughout Monroe & Northeast Louisiana when required.

Brown's Construction Services is a licensed contractor serving residential and commercial clients across Monroe and Northeast Louisiana. We specialize in remodeling and interior finishes, including painting, drywall, flooring, trim carpentry, light framing, kitchens, bathrooms, and commercial tenant build-outs. Our people-first approach centers on clear communication, professional service, and dependable project delivery.


We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead projects from approved estimate through successful completion. This position oversees assigned Superintendents and is responsible for ensuring field operations meet company expectations for safety, quality, scheduling, profitability, communication, and documentation. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Project Manager will coordinate clients, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, materials, budgets, and schedules across multiple active projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate project estimates before kickoff to confirm scope, cost, and feasibility.
  • Maintain at least 98% alignment between estimated and actual gross profit, measured as a quarterly rolling average.
  • Monitor project budgets, cost codes, labor, materials, billing schedules, pay applications, and collections.
  • Prevent scope creep and ensure change orders are prepared and approved for additional work.
  • Create baseline schedules based on budgets, crew availability, project sequencing, and material lead times.
  • Maintain accurate schedules, milestones, and client-facing timelines in Buildertrend.
  • Forecast labor requirements two to four weeks in advance and identify potential resource conflicts.
  • Lead at least one weekly scheduling meeting with the sales team to onboard new projects and confirm start dates.
  • Directly supervise, coach, and hold assigned Superintendents accountable.
  • Review Superintendent Daily Work Plans, daily logs, progress photos, QC punch lists, and production information.
  • Provide clients with a written Buildertrend progress update every Friday.
  • Conduct client check-ins at important project milestones and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Lead one documented safety or toolbox talk each week with the crew and Superintendent.
  • Maintain an average customer satisfaction rating of 4.5 or higher.
  • Coordinate project walkthroughs, punch-list completion, documentation, collections, and closeout.
  • Respond to communication from Superintendents and company leadership within four business hours.


Qualifications

  • At least three years of construction project management or comparable leadership experience.
  • Experience with residential remodeling, commercial interiors, painting, drywall, flooring, carpentry, or related finish trades.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising Superintendents, field employees, and subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of job costing, gross profit, scheduling, change orders, billing, and construction documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret estimates, plans, scopes of work, schedules, and specifications.
  • Experience using Buildertrend or comparable construction-management software is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organization, client-service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage several active projects and competing priorities.
  • Valid driver's license, dependable vehicle, and reliable transportation to project locations.
  • Smartphone with internet access and the ability to use required mobile applications.

Pay and Benefits

  • Full-time, W-2 employment.
  • Pay: $64,000 - $70,000 salary depending on experience, with a bonus opportunity of $10-20k annually
  • Approximately 40 hours per week, with daily hours varying according to project requirements.
  • Quarterly bonus opportunity equal to 10% of excess gross profit, subject to project profitability, documentation, collections, safety, closeout, and other performance requirements.
