Construction Operations & Logistics Senior Manager (Consultant)


Design & Constructability

  • Lead constructability and quality reviews of design documents (drawings and specifications).
  • Coordinate technical reviews with architects, engineers, consultants, and construction teams.
  • Identify design conflicts, coordination gaps, and constructability issues before construction begins.
  • Review RFIs, ASIs, ESIs, addenda, bulletins, and technical revisions.
  • Track and resolve technical issues throughout design and construction.
  • Support quality reviews of architectural, structural, MEP, fire protection, life safety, laboratory, and building systems.

Construction Coordination

  • Serve as the technical liaison between project management, engineering, design consultants, and construction management.
  • Coordinate field operations, sequencing, logistics, and contractor activities.
  • Review construction means, methods, phasing, and site logistics plans.
  • Support contractor bid reviews, scope alignment, and award recommendations.
  • Help minimize schedule impacts, change orders, and construction claims through proactive coordination.

Scheduling & Logistics

  • Coordinate campus-wide construction logistics across multiple active projects.
  • Develop and maintain master schedules and logistics plans.
  • Monitor schedule performance, risks, and project milestones.
  • Coordinate access, temporary conditions, parking, staff circulation, and site operations throughout construction.
  • Partner with project controls teams to maintain accurate reporting and forecasting.

Risk & Claims Management

  • Maintain project risk registers and identify schedule or cost impacts early.
  • Evaluate construction and design-related claims with project leadership.
  • Review contract documentation to determine responsibility for field issues and design discrepancies.
  • Prepare technical documentation supporting claim resolution and project decisions.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Provide project status updates and technical guidance to leadership.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project controls, governance, engineering, quality, legal, and construction teams to maintain project alignment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
  • 10+ years of experience managing complex construction projects
  • Experience with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or laboratory facilities preferred
  • Strong knowledge of constructability reviews, quality assurance, scheduling, logistics, and project delivery
  • Experience coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, and project management teams
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam Studio, AutoCAD, Revit, SharePoint, and Unifier preferred
