Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Manager to oversee the daily management, coordination, and reporting of all business activities. This includes planning, budgeting, scheduling, inventory control, delivery operations, and safety procedures. The ideal candidate will focus on optimizing workflows and driving operational efficiency while supporting and empowering employees. A commitment to continuous improvement and alignment with company values and service standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage operational priorities while ensuring clear internal communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and monitor for damaged goods within the yard and warehouse.
  • Lead monthly inventory cycle counts and ensure proper close-out procedures.
  • Analyze and understand financial operations, including bulk purchasing, profit margins, and P&L statements.
  • Ensure all delivery personnel comply with OSHA and company safety policies both onsite and in the warehouse.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly safety reviews in collaboration with the Safety Manager.
  • Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of warehouse and yard areas.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery processes—verify accuracy, handle damaged materials, and oversee proper order sign-offs.
  • Maintain open and professional communication with customers, proactively addressing any delivery-related issues.
  • Coordinate inbound material transfers to meet scheduled delivery deadlines.
  • Supervise daily team operations, driving performance in productivity, safety, quality, and collaboration.
  • Partner with other departments to maximize efficiency and foster an inclusive, respectful work environment.
  • Develop and refine performance plans and process improvements; encourage creative problem-solving.
  • Uphold high standards of service throughout all operational activities.
  • Prepare and monitor lien release documentation as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant operations or logistics role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Preferred: Experience in the construction or building materials industry.
  • Preferred: Background in distribution or supply chain operations.
