Job Description: A CDL Driver is required to drive a Tri-Axle dump truck/tractor, move equipment from job sites as part of the PPS construction crew. This will include but not limited to driving Tri-Axle dump trucks, tractor with lowboy/dump trailer, mobilizing equipment to and from jobsites, moving excavators, backhoes, front-end loader, pavement rollers and skid-steers. Must be willing to listen, learn and communicate with Project manager, Superintendent, Foreman, or other General laborers to complete tasks and overall job successfully. This also includes having proficient Safety skills, Quality workmanship and a trustworthy reputation to provide the utmost degree of value in every task that you perform.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures utilizing the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
  • Report to job site on time every day with start time no later than 7:00am unless determined otherwise
  • Thorough knowledge of the hazards associated with driving dump trucks at/near trenches and all the additional safety precautions.
  • Operate and fuel all construction equipment that is being utilized to perform a task, Excavator, Loader, Etc.
  • The ability to drive two tri-axle dump trucks if the task being performed by the crew requires it.
  • Assure all paperwork is filled out and handed in daily such as dump forms, material tickets and DOT pre-trips inspections.
  • Must maintain the cleanliness of all company owned and rented vehicles/equipment. In addition, all the fluids need to be checked prior to operation and any fitting that requires grease needs to be checked and/or greased daily.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Adhere to the safety standards as defined by Precision Pipeline Solutions, safety standards and procedures.
  • Proper utilization of your Stop Work/Time Out Responsibility, this needs to be utilized when there is a change in work conditions that hasn’t been communicated, when equipment is improperly used, or even if there is a lack of knowledge for a task that is being performed.
  • Maintain valid CDL license and DOT medical card.
  • Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push and/or pull, twist and make repetitive hand movements. Ability to load, carry, lift, push and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Sitting or standing for prolonged period of time required. Must have the ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle.
  • Complies with all safety rules and regulations set forth by PPS
