Ames Construction is seeking experienced construction craftspeople for a heavy civil/industrial construction project nearMinneapolis and St. Paul Metro and surroundingareas.Positions include heavy equipment operators, truck drivers, carpenters for concrete construction, pipefitters,millwrights,and general laborers.

Qualifications

  • Experience in heavy civil and/or mining construction preferred

  • Compliance with OSHA, Company and other applicable safety and health requirements

  • Willingness to learn and accept directions from supervisors

  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions (Heat/Cold)

  • Mustpossessstrong working knowledge, skills and abilities for positionsought

  • Ability to work safely and efficiently with tools and equipment including power and non-power tools

  • Communication and interpersonal skills area must

  • Ability to manage time and multi-task

  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs

  • Must have dependable transportation

  • May require use of respirator

  • Must be comfortable working at heights, confined work areas, or various depths (trenches)

  • Frequent activity: standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, carrying, swinging, reaching above shoulder, pushing,pullingand/or balancing on a construction site with rough or uneven terrain

  • Periodically lift or move up to 50 pounds
