Job description

Michigan Kenworth in Grand Rapids is lookingย for a talented individual to take on the full-time Parts Sales Representative - Counter position! This position would be ideal for those who have prior sales experience, ability to work in a dealership environment, and results driven. This is a great opportunity to join a growing and successful dealer group!

Responsibilities:

  • Sells heavy duty and/or light duty truck parts
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction among all assigned accounts
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all products and services sold by the company
  • Conquest and grow new accounts

Primary Duties:

  • Maintains liaison with important customers
  • Promotes the sales of parts and accessories and is an adviser to wholesale or retail customers
  • Successfully complete product and sales training courses as assigned
  • Develop and maintain full working knowledge of all company systems, procedures, and policies
  • Maintains parts-related correspondence
  • Keeps up to date on new products

Requirements:

  • High school diploma;ย associate's degree (AA) preferred
  • Prior sales experience
  • Computer, mathematical and customer service skills
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Ability to work in a dealership environment to include 8 - 12 hour days with frequent exposure to weather elements
  • Ability to demonstrate or display extensive product knowledge to customer and staff to assist with purchase decisions
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and results-driven
