Position Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining accurate Shipping yard inventory, and processing new job files, along with supporting the functions of the Shipping yard.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintains and updates yard locations within Epicor.
  • Performs warehouse/yard audits.
  • Maintains and reviews all Shipping Schedules and Shipping Reports.
  • Processes warehouse/yard paperwork and shipment photos.
  • Communicates the status and/or issues on shipments to other departments.
  • Maintains driver's departure times in the Transportation Management System.
  • Assists in any shipping duties as needed.
  • Maintains a high level of productivity.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience working in a Shipping/Warehouse/Yard environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or any combination of education and experience
  • At least 1 year of recent relevant experience in any ERP system, Epicor would be a plus.
  • Working knowledge Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated accuracy of work, good organization skills, attention to detail as well as the ability to work as a team player.
  • Effectively communicate in English with warehouse personnel, management, and supervisors via two-way radio, email and in person.
  • Ability to read and interpret Shipping Authorizations and Daily Ship Schedules.
  • Maintains a Level B Equipment Operator Certification.
  • Must maintain a valid driver license.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and drag materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Position is in a warehouse environment which may be noisy, dusty, hot and/or cold and will require working outdoors in all conditions. PPE is required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently exerting up to 30 pounds of force.
  • Must be able to climb into equipment, bend, kneel, sit, reach and grasp.
  • Must be able to effectively use small hand tools such as pneumatic staple/nail gun, banding equipment, stencil machine, digital camera, and radial arm saw.
  • Must be able to pass commercial driver's vision test
