As a former military or civilian Congressional Affairs Contact Officer, you'll bring your experience and understanding of how the Army runs to support Congressional Affairs activities.

You'll use your skills and expertise to perform the full range of congressional liaison work, including controlling, analyzing, researching, and formulation of official responses to written and telephonic requests from Members of Congress and staffs, and Congressional Committees.

You served your country as a military or civilian action officer with Congressional Affairs Contact Officer, now, continue your mission with us. Further your career while creating mission-forward solutions that matter.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a military or civilian staff or action officer on the Army Staff or OSD Staff

  • 2+ years of experience as a military or civilian Congressional Affairs Contact Officer (CACO) at Headquarters, Department of the Army or an Army Command, such as 4-Star

  • Experience with management of congressionally mandated reports

  • Experience orchestrating or coordinating congressional engagements, including preparing senior leaders and briefers, and synchronizing talking points and messaging

  • Knowledge of Army Staff and Secretariat organizations, Congressional actions staffing processes, and laws, regulations, and directives and their application to assist in the formulation of official response to Congress

  • Ability to perform the full range of Congressional liaison work, including controlling, analyzing, researching, and formulation of official responses to written and telephonic requests from Members of Congress and staffs, and Congressional Committees

  • Ability to track Congressional reporting requirements and provide feedback to the staff until the requirement is satisfied

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with formulating responses and management of congressionally mandated reports.

  • Experience as a staff officer

  • Ability to monitor Congressional Hearings schedules with regard to Army, DoD Witnesses, and read, review, and analyze a variety of legislative reference and information materials, such as Congressional Record, Senate and House publications, web-based resources, or periodicals, to identify items of importance as they pertain to Army programs and objectives

  • Master's degree in Public Policy

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
