Job description

Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations: North Carolina & South Carolina 

This position supports the Commitment Desk by evaluating, processing, and monitoring submitted rate lock information. Reviews investor rate lock confirmations for accuracy, appropriate placement, and to analyze pricing options. Maintains and updates pricing models for the department. Provides feedback to associates on rate lock submissions and resolves issues as they arise. Assists in the development and enforcement of Secondary Marketing policies and procedures to ensure compliance and enhance profitability in mortgage rates.


Responsibilities
  • Operational Support - Maintains the Commitment Desk email file, processing rate lock extensions and other price-related emails according to Bank risk and urgency of the request. Develops, maintains, and enforces Secondary Marketing policies and procedures. Provides feedback and coaching on rate lock accuracy, expiring locks, and adherence to department policies and procedures as needed. Responsible for delivery to Fannie Mae.
  • Analysis - Reviews rate lock confirmations for accuracy and to ensure placement with the appropriate investor. Analyzes pricing options and daily pipeline reports in order to reduce risk. Identifies and resolves rate lock issues through analytic activities.
  • Data Modeling - Assists in the development and maintenance of pricing models, ensuring profitability for the Bank. Reviews investors' daily pricing sheets and updates pricing models accordingly.
  • Reporting - Documents all rate lock related data. Reconciles pricing data. Communicates changes to policies and procedures, product pricing and fee adjustments, general Commitment Desk information, and rate lock status.
