Configuration Specialists are responsible for the proper configuration and documentation of the product and processes manufactured at Putnam Plastics under the direct support of Engineering, Operations and Quality Assurance.
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities:
  • Determine material requirements and lead times to confirm customer orders via input from inventory data, operations, purchasing and product development.
  • Create and execute change orders for new and updated product and process documents.
  • Work with Sales and Customer Service to resolve any discrepancies with customer purchase orders.
  • Configure item numbers, bills of material and routings in the ERP system to reflect correct version, traceability, costing and material planning.
  • Collect input and documentation from Engineering, Operations, New Product Development and Quality departments to make all process, specification and inspection documents available to manufacturing.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma. Preferred: Associate's degree in business or related field.
  • Experience in a regulated industry (medical device or similar)
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems
  • Working knowledge of MS office software and ERP systems, proficiency with computers.
  • Highly organized and ability to multitask.
