Role Overview:
This role provides senior-level technical leadership and direction for the design, implementation, maintenance, and life‑cycle management of the organization’s Windows-based server and related infrastructure environments. The position is responsible for evaluating, architecting, and implementing high‑impact IT solutions using leading-edge technologies while balancing long‑term effectiveness, security, scalability, cost, and operational practicality. The role leads or contributes to enterprise-wide infrastructure designs, ensures system reliability and performance through rigorous testing and analysis, and coordinates closely with Headquarters, internal teams, and stakeholders. Work is highly complex in nature, requiring advanced problem-solving, logical process development, and deep technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical Leadership and Architecture Direction
    Establish and maintain standards, design approaches, and life‑cycle strategies for Windows servers and related infrastructure, including Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, file and print services, and supporting platforms.
  • Administer and Support Enterprise Windows Environments
    Perform advanced Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange administration, system monitoring, performance tuning, patching, security remediation, user account management, and backup/restoration of Exchange, SQL, and Windows server environments.
  • Monitor, Troubleshoot, and Resolve Complex Issues
    Proactively monitor server health, performance, and security; diagnose and resolve high-impact system issues; and conduct detailed problem analysis, integration testing, and root-cause assessments.
  • Deliver End-User and Operational Support
    Support Help Desk teams and administrators by managing Windows helpdesk tickets via ITSM tools, building and maintaining desktop and laptop OS images, and performing PC imaging and account creation using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
  • Develop and Implement Innovative Technical Solutions
    Design, test, evaluate, and deploy new infrastructure solutions and technologies, considering technical limitations, business needs, system criticality, and long-term service delivery and cost effectiveness.
  • Lead and Manage Infrastructure Projects
    Manage a portfolio of technical projects from requirements through completion, ensuring appropriate documentation, coordination with stakeholders, and leadership of formal project meetings across teams and departments.
     
Basic Qualifications:
 
  • 7+ years of hands‑on experience as a primary administrator supporting Windows Server, VMware, and Microsoft Exchange environments
  • Strong expertise in Windows infrastructure administration, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support
  • Experience with PC imaging and user account provisioning using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
  • Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to assess issues, think logically, and implement effective technical solutions
  • Strong organizational and project execution skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate work, and deliver projects on time
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and positively engage internal and external customers

Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • MCSE: Core Infrastructure certification
  • Microsoft Exchange Server certification
  • Experience working within enterprise or multi‑site IT environments

Salary range: $78,880 to $108,500/yr
