Job description

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow CMDB, Service Mapping, and CSDM Expert to manage the operational lifecycle, governance, and data quality of our enterprise Configuration Management Database. This role requires deep technical expertise in ServiceNow platform administration, specifically focusing on CMDB Workspace, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and continuously improve the ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM framework.
  • Drive CMDB governance, certification, and audit readiness activities.
  • Ensure CMDB data quality through Completeness, Correctness, and Compliance (3Cs).
  • Manage onboarding of Business Applications, Application Services, and Technical Services.
  • Establish and monitor CMDB health KPIs and data quality metrics.
  • Lead remediation initiatives for stale, orphaned, duplicate, and non-compliant CIs.
  • Administer CMDB Workspace capabilities including Data Manager, Query Builder, and CI Class Manager.
  • Configure and manage Service Mapping, Pattern-Based Discovery, and dependency mapping.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and architecture teams to maintain accurate service models.

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB.
  • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow CSDM (v4.x/v5.x preferred).
  • Expertise in CMDB Workspace, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
  • Proficiency in IRE (Identification and Reconciliation Engine) and MID Server Administration.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL v4 Framework and SACM best practices.
  • Experience with Cloud Discovery (Azure/AWS) and event management integrations.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred Certifications: ServiceNow CSA, CIS - Discovery, CIS - Service Mapping, CIS - CMDB/Data Foundations, and ITIL v4 Foundation.

Preferred Skills:
  • Software Asset Management (ITAM).
  • Windows Server Administration.
  • Azure Admin experience in Splunk installation projects.
