We are seeking an energetic, hands-on leader to join our Banquets team and help deliver memorable experiences for our guests and clients.

Position Summary

The Banquet Houseperson Supervisor is responsible for overseeing banquet room setup, event execution, and breakdown operations during PM shifts. This hands-on leadership role ensures banquet functions are executed according to specifications while maintaining Forbes Five-Star service standards and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is a motivated hospitality professional with banquet operations experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional events and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Banquet Houseperson team during PM shifts.
  • Execute banquet functions according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), timelines, and client specifications.
  • Oversee the setup, breakdown, and reset of banquet rooms, meeting spaces, buffets, and event areas.
  • Ensure all banquet areas are clean, organized, and event-ready at all times.
  • Lead by example with a hands-on approach, including moving tables, chairs, staging, and event equipment.
  • Partner with Banquet Managers, Catering, Conference Services, and Culinary teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Maintain inventory of banquet equipment, china, glassware, silverware, linens, and supplies.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and repairs with the Engineering team.
  • Train, mentor, and support banquet team members while promoting safety and service standards.
  • Assist with interviews, onboarding, performance coaching, and team development.
  • Build positive client relationships and respond promptly to operational needs during events.
  • Support forecasting, scheduling, and operational planning initiatives.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in banquet operations, hospitality, hotel events, or food and beverage operations required.
  • Luxury hotel, resort, conference center, or high-volume event experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport banquet tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hospitality Management certification or related education.
  • Experience with event planning, banquet operations, and conference services.
  • Luxury resort or Forbes-rated hospitality experience preferred.
