FivePine Lodge & Conference Center is seeking an organized and creative leader to oversee our Event Services department. This position is responsible for planning and executing beautiful weddings, corporate retreats, community meetings, and other special events while ensuring outstanding service, operational efficiency, and profitability.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys leading a team, working directly with clients, and remaining actively involved in every stage of an event—from planning and setup through service and breakdown.

What You Bring

  • At least three years of professional event experience, including both event planning and hands-on execution
  • Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Knowledge of audiovisual equipment—or the aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Experience with catering, banquet service, bartending, and staff supervision is required

Event Operations and Leadership

  • Coordinate the in-house details of FivePine weddings, including room setup, menus, timelines, and event logistics
  • Oversee and participate in all aspects of event execution, including planning, setup, guest service, catering, bartending, and breakdown
  • Schedule, supervise, and support Event Services staff
  • Lead event teams to ensure consistent, professional, and attentive service
  • Ensure banquet and event facilities are clean, organized, properly stocked, and ready for each event
  • Oversee the proper handling and security of cash and other payments
  • Maintain Event Center facilities, equipment, and coordinate maintenance needs
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local health, safety, alcohol-service, permitting, and operational requirements
  • Collaborate effectively with FivePine departments and managers to provide a seamless guest experience

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage alcohol and linen inventory, ordering, and organization
  • Complete final event billing and cash-bar reconciliation
  • Create event room diagrams and setup plans
  • Conduct site tours as needed
  • Train and supervise Event Services staff
  • Verify that required employee certifications and permits remain current
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the Events Manager

Physical Demands of Position

  • Standing and/or walking for up to 12 hours
  • Extensive walking, bending, twisting, reaching and/or kneeling 
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying supplies up to 50lbs
