Job description

Title: IT Project Scheduler with Power BI

Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid, must be willing to go onsite 3 days a week.)

This role will cover the end-to-end development of IT Project Schedules and integration of planning activities across the lifecycle of a $100M IT Program. Reporting using Power BI is key aspect of this role and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and to interpret and analyse data and make robust recommendations to the project team will be an important part of the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Primavera P6 integrated schedule for a $50M IT Program.
  • Understand the phases and projects within this program and structure the Primavera integrated schedule.
  • Develop and manage integrated master project schedules for multiple Phases and IT projects, from initiation stage to closeout stage.
  • Develop Reports for various stakeholders using Power BI.
  • Gather schedule reporting and controls requirements and implement them.
  • Manage other IT schedulers that are assigned to work on this program.
  • Develop scheduling standards that other schedulers can use.
  • Develop project controls from scheduling prospective and implement them for all the projects within this program.
  • Serve as a P6 EPPM Subject Matter Expert
  • Validate project data including custom fields and User Defined Fields (UDFs).
  • Create training materials and train Project Managers on using P6.
  • Analyze project schedules to support baseline creation and baseline compliance throughout the project life cycle.
  • Produce weekly/monthly ETC and EAC reports.
  • Lead and organize schedule review and update meetings with Project Managers and Program Managers.
  • Analyze project schedules and recommend recovery/mitigation actions.
  • Produce program level milestone and resource usage reports.
  • Generate reports, KPIs, metrics and dashboards.
  • Float Path / Critical Path Analysis.
  • Produce PowerPoint presentations to show summary level information at the Program level, to IT executive leadership.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience building Master schedules in Primavera.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience developing schedules for IT projects.
  • Must have experience developing Reports using Power BI.
  • 5+ Years of experience in Power BI.
  • Must have expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of project control principles.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience developing PowerPoint presentations to show schedule reports.
