Job description


This is an IT/ERP operational role with some elements of strategy support to be provided to the CFO, who is ultimately responsible for the IT function. This individual is responsible for the following Information Technology (IT) activities:


  1. Helping the CFO in the execution implement Information Technology Strategy and support IT infrastructure (both in the US and Mexico).
  2. Providing ERP system (Epicor) leadership and direction including day-to-day service and support to all internal users to all business and manufacturing functions within Electri-Cord’s global organization,
  3. Work with the CFO in the management of, providing support to, and helping improve the company’s technology environment across all U.S. and Mexico operations,
  4. This person helps manage an IT employee at the company’s facility in Mexico.
  5. This role works closely with the company’s outsourced IT services providers to ensure system security, network stability, user support, and compliance with company policies.
  6. This position also provides hands-on configuration of key systems (ERP, CRM, Microsoft 365), supports business automation and AI-enabled tools, manages IT assets, and ensures reliable and secure operations

ERP Maintenance:

  1. Ensure that ERP systems enable the company’s vision and strategic direction. Note that the company utilizes Epicor as its ERP of choice.
  2. Provide expert technical support to users on ERP software issues.
  3. Managing the ERP infrastructure, employee utilization, process, licensing and all related activities
  4. Monitor and test ERP fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
  5. Document as necessary procedures related to updates and improvements in the ERP.
  6. Identify and recommend end user ERP training programs to increase ERP literacy and self-sufficiency.
  7. Develop and design custom reports for users on the ERP reporting platform.



Administer ERP user security framework:

  1. Manage and coordinate with external partners and internal departments to prepare, evaluate, select, and plan any upgrades to the ERP system.
  2. Manage and coordinate the deployment of ERP system enhancements and new software versions and modules. Develop and enhance cooperative interdepartmental and vendor relationships.
  3. Preparing Capital Expenditure Request (CERs), Purchase Orders (P/Os), and all functions related to purchasing ERP software while keeping expenditure under control.
  4. Working with the Technology Services vendor (Comtec)
  5. Provide user support for corporate Intranet.
  6. Help Identify new IT trends in the market and inform Senior Management.


Cybersecurity, Infrastructure & Disaster Recovery

  1. Ensure the company maintains secure firewalls, strong cybersecurity posture, and tested disaster recovery plans.
  2. Monitor outages, server health, backups, and escalate issues to outsourced IT providers.
  3. Help maintain VPN, remote access, MFA, and system security practices.
  4. ERP, CRM & Business System Configuration
  5. Customize CRM, ERP, and business tools using SQL, C#, and LINQ in collaboration with the ERP Analyst.
  6. Support system upgrades, patches, user roles, and reporting


AI, Automation & Data Analytics

    1. Support AI strategy development with outsourced IT providers.
    2. Implement automation tools using Power Automate, Power BI, and similar applications.
    3. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows with secure AI-enabled tools.



Vendor Management & User Support

    1. Track and hold outside vendors accountable to meeting expected service levels.
    2. Monitor helpdesk tickets and escalate issues.
    3. Ensure outsourced IT providers respond promptly to user issues in the U.S. and Mexico.
    4. Coordinate new user/terminated user access for Microsoft, network, and Epicor.



Hardware, Software & Asset Management

    1. Oversee maintenance and lifecycle of PCs, servers, network devices, and office equipment with assistance from third-party suppliers.
    2. Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure compliance with purchase approval thresholds.
    3. Review and renew contracts for internet providers, telecom systems, and related services.


Continuous Improvement & Technology Roadmap

    1. Stay current with technology trends and propose system improvements with advise and input from third party suppliers.
    2. Participate and when appropriate lead IT and infrastructure projects across all facilities.


Additional Duties

  1. Backup other IT team members as required.
  2. Maintain system documentation and perform other duties as assigned.
  3. Carrying out other duties as may be requested by management.


Required Education, Skills, Experience, and Certifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, and or related field
  • Experience: 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Knowledge and Technical Skills:
    • Relational Databases, Microsoft SQL database experience.
    • Strong knowledge level from Quote to Cash in an ERP system for manufacturing enterprise
    • Experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective
    • Skilled in the use of report writing, business intelligence tools, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
    • Must have the ability to recognize a problem, analyze the data, and make an appropriate decision regarding complex technical issues.
  • Tools able to use: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); Crystal Reports; SSRS
  • Software: Enterprise Resource Planning platform for manufacturing companies including Epicor and or similar ERP systems
  • Language: English
  • Certifications:
  • Preferred:
    • 5 – 10 years of IT systems, infrastructure, or application support experience (manufacturing preferred).
  • Experience with outsourced IT provider coordination – essential.
  • Technical skills: SQL, C#, LINQ, networking basics, Windows systems, Microsoft 365 admin.
  • Experience using Power BI, Power Automate, or similar automation tools.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
