We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our IT Division as Systems Engineer. Responsibilities include installation and technical support of computer servers and their applications in the company under close supervision and direction. The position requires the person to:

  • Provide installation, training and support for computer server hardware and software using industry best practices in a team environment
  • Monitor server performance for potential hardware problems and deploy appropriate fixes
  • Provide solutions for problems and questions pertaining to server software applications and document specific incidents
  • Provide research and development services for computer server hardware and software

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar major is preferred. Candidates without a four-year degree, but with several years of relevant experience, may also be considered.
  • Server installations and maintenance experience
