Senior Computer Systems Analyst - Cloud & Enterprise Operations
Position Title: Senior Computer Systems Analyst - Cloud & Enterprise Operations
Position Type: Full Time Employee
Location: Arlington, VA (within 50 miles of ARNG Readiness Center, TARC)
Clearance Requirement: Secret (Top Secret Preferred)
Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000
Start Date: Contingent upon contract award
Position Overview
Emerald Technical Solutions is seeking a Senior Computer Systems Analyst with cloud operations and enterprise IT experience to support the ARNG ENOCS Task Order. This role supports enterprise operations, cloud migration, data hosting, and systems analysis in direct support of the ARNG G6 and its 120,000+ user enterprise.
The ideal candidate combines strong Azure cloud expertise with hands-on enterprise systems analysis experience in DoD or federal environments. This position supports the modernization and migration of ARNG enterprise applications to DoD-approved cloud platforms while maintaining operational continuity of existing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Operations & Migration
  • Support cloud migration, consolidation, and rationalization of ARNG enterprise systems to cARMY-Azure and other DA-approved environments
  • Evaluate available hosting solutions and design migration architectures compliant with DoD and Army standards
  • Support migration of DEV and TEST environments to consolidated cloud solutions
  • Assist with decommissioning of legacy hardware, licensing, and maintenance support agreements post-migration
  • Ensure cloud-hosted systems maintain ATO compliance and meet DoD cloud security requirements
Enterprise Data Hosting & Systems Administration
  • Perform administration, maintenance, configuration, patching, and optimization of servers in the virtualized hosting environment
  • Maintain multiple virtualized hosting environments including production, pre-production, and COOP instances providing SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
  • Ensure availability of critical servers, systems, and services including computing infrastructure and data storage
  • Maintain STIG compliance, IAVA management, and security best practices within the virtualized hosting environment
  • Support Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and capability for all applications in the hosting environment
Development & Integration Support
  • Develop data analysis and support applications providing integration to Army Open Data applications infrastructure
  • Support development of dashboard displays and machine-to-machine interfaces to increase automation
  • Propose, test, implement, and maintain ticketing and incident tracking systems
  • Provide expert-level knowledge of data manipulation and automation tools including MS Power BI and Power Automate
  • Create, update, and maintain technical documentation for all systems and integrations
Systems Analysis & Engineering
  • Analyze existing operational state of production environments to determine stability, reliability, and identify vulnerabilities
  • Conduct systems analysis supporting cloud migration, modernization, and technology refresh initiatives
  • Provide detailed review and recommendations for system software improvements aligned with DoD and Army goals
  • Support change and release management activities including CAB participation and configuration change documentation
  • Assist with web services administration including SharePoint Online, PowerApps, Army 365, and GKN environment management

Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4-8 years of experience in systems analysis, cloud operations, or enterprise IT in DoD or federal environments
  • Security+ (DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II minimum)
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104 Azure Administrator or AZ-900 minimum; AZ-500 preferred)
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or cloud-native equivalents)
  • Working knowledge of DoD RMF, DISA STIGs, and IAVM compliance
  • Experience with SharePoint, MS Teams, Power BI, and Power Automate

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Army or DoD cloud migration programs (cARMY, Azure Government, or equivalent)
  • Microsoft Azure cloud security certifications (AZ-500 Security Engineer)
  • Experience with ARNG or Army enterprise tools and environments
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms
  • Knowledge of Army 365, GKN/GKO environments, and DEPO provisioning processes
  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Active Top Secret clearance
