Qualifications Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to two years of professional full-time staff work.
Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework from an accredited college or university in public or business administration or other acceptable field may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years.
Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time increasingly responsible sub-professional experience, paraprofessional, or professional experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.
Overview: Under general supervision, is responsible for professional staff work of average difficulty in relieving an executive of administrative detail; and performs related work as required. An employee in this class performs a variety of general and special assignments in relieving an executive of administrative detail. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker, an organized multitasker who can anticipate needs before they arise, and is trusted to operate with independence, discretion, excellence and a high degree of professionalism.


Responsibilities

  • Create time by managing calendars and keeping schedules focused and on target.
  • Performs a variety of general staff administrative duties to support program operations.
  • Drive clarity by aligning communications and logistics so every detail is on point.
  • Tracking follow-ups, maintaining pace, and pushing priorities forward.
  • Consults with director to determine costs, time, resources, and/or materials needed to complete an initiative.
  • Monitors orders, employee time, and inventory of supplies.
  • Assists in special assignments.
  • Entering data into electronic databases to ensure accurate processing and record keeping.
  • Using electronic office productivity software (MS Word, Excel) to perform daily tasks.
  • Pulling relevant information from electronic databases

  • May be responsible for making travel arrangements and ordering office supplies as needed
