Job description


GENERAL FUNCTIONS
Assist Mail Services and Copy Center with daily operations such as mail & package delivery and related functions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are typical responsibilities associated with this position. The specific responsibilities may vary and will be assigned accordingly by the supervisor.
  • Assist with mail & package delivery.
  • Unload delivery trucks, move packages and equipment in loading dock and receiving area.
  • Help prepare mailings and fill supply orders.
  • Assist Copy Center with duplicating jobs, e.g. cut, assemble, staple, laminate, etc.
  • Assist with inventory updates and related projects.
  • Other related functions as requested.
Requirements:
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 lbs.
  • Ability to walk and move delivery carts around campus.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • NYS driver's license preferred but not required.

Equipment Used:
May use computer for occasional directory reference, and possibly other projects depending upon skill level.
Physical Demands:
Position involves lifting and moving of packages generally up to 50 lbs., and occasionally more than 100 lbs.

Work Schedule / Availability: 5-6 hours per week.
