The College of Engineering, with over 2,800 students, has EAC ABET accredited undergraduate programs in Architectural, Bio-, Biological, Civil, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering, as well as a CAC ABET-accredited program in Computer Science. The Computer Science (CS) Department at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCAT) has 14 full-time faculty members and offers BS, MS and PhD degrees. The department has a current enrollment of over 500 undergraduate students, 80 masters and 30 doctoral students. The faculty in the department conducts research in areas such as cybersecurity, cyber identity and biometrics, computer vision, quantum computing, data science, big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing, software engineering, multi-agent and social computing. The department has attracted funding from the National Science Foundation, the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy, as well as various industries to support research and education.
