Job Summary:
LanceSoft, Inc. is seeking a Network Specialist to design and implement functional company networks. The role involves collaborating with network architects, installing and configuring networking hardware, and managing network support issues.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with network architects to design and implement functional company networks
• Install and configure networking hardware (Cisco and Palo Alto)
• Provision and manage Internet circuits (DIA\Broadband) for field offices
• Design and coordinate implementation of the cable plant for field offices
• Travel to field office for network implementation
• Process network maintenance renewals
• Manage network support issues within ticketing system
• Have knowledge of new IT Infrastructure technologies, processes, methodologies and best practices
• Manage infrastructure projects, including gathering requirements, design, build, implementation and project management
• Perform post-implementation follow-ups to ensure infrastructure stability
Qualifications:
Required:
• 4-year degree in Computer related curriculum and 3-7 years of hands on network experience installing/configuring network devices. Those candidates without a degree will be required to have an additional 5 years of relevant experience for consideration.
• Solid background in network administration and configuration (switches/routers)
• Understanding of network operating systems (e.g. Cisco IOS, Cisco NX-IOS)
• Understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g. LogicMonitor)
• Sharp troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge and understanding of industry best practices and methodologies
• Understanding of project delivery within an Agile framework
• An understanding of the strategic impacts of enterprise initiatives, the supporting IT systems and architecture.
• Ability to facilitate the integration of all infrastructure technologies that will support the global reach of the client enterprise.
• Written and oral communication skills appropriate to communicate with a wide variety of individuals (employees and all levels of management) throughout the organization and outside of the organization (i.e. clients, vendors)
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction or oversight.
Preferred:
• Cisco Professional Certifications preferred (CCNA, CCNP)
• Preferred experience with scripting and automation (e.g Python, Ansible)
• Preferred experience with SDWAN technology
