Description:
Overview
Seeking a CAD Drafter to support engineering teams by creating 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks. This role contributes to product development from concept through production.
Responsibilities
  • 3D Modeling & Drafting - Create 3D models, layouts, and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Drawing Review - Ensure accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Revision Management - Update models and drawings per document control procedures.
  • Documentation - Write specifications and develop standard operating procedures.
  • BOM Creation - Select catalog components and generate bills of materials.
  • General Support - Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Associate degree in Mechanical Design, CAD Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, 2D CAD, and PDM systems.
  • Knowledge of machining, tubing assemblies, sheet metal, and electrical schematics.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, drafting standards, tolerance stack-ups, weld symbols, and material selection.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic image editing tools.
  • Ability to use an ERP system to check material and part availability.
