The CAD Designer position will work in conjunction with the engineering team to develop high pressure system and component designs using 3D and 2D CAD tools, producing high quality designs that meet requirements and delivery targets. • Collaborate with the engineering team to create safe and practical designs.
• Interface with our in-house assembly team to ensure they can follow designs sent to the floor and use their hands on knowledge & feedback to make improvements.
• Work closely with fabrication vendors to create a cost-effective design of purchased components.
• Updating and improving upon company standards and templates as required.
• Communicating with clients, engineers, floor personnel and vendors as required.
• Support system assembly with drawings and models and retrofits as required.
• Understand requirements and advise on CAD purchases for workstations, software, and licensing options.
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerances and manufacturing practices.
• Knowledge of common manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, or fabrication.
