The Electrical Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for testing consumer electronics to ensure they meet various safety and quality assurance standards. The understanding of the basic principles of electricity; and experience with voltmeters, amp meters, battery testers, and other electrical testing equipment is highly preferred.

  • Operates designated laboratory equipment and tools as directed.
  • Receives instructions from and reports data to  engineers and other laboratory technician staff.
  • Records observed or calculated data on appropriate data sheets.
  • Develops working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems.
  • Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
