Make a Difference in Laboratory Excellence North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is seeking a detail-oriented, quality-driven Physician Practice Laboratory Coordinator to oversee laboratory operations across our physician practices while performing Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLT/MLS) duties. In this role, you'll help ensure accurate, timely patient testing, maintain regulatory compliance, and support exceptional patient care through leadership, quality assurance, and technical expertise. Job Summary

The Physician Practice Laboratory Coordinator coordinates daily operations of clinic laboratories while performing MLT/MLS duties. This position ensures CLIA compliance, maintains quality systems, oversees laboratory processes, supports staff competency and training, and promotes accurate, reliable laboratory testing across physician practice locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory testing within scope.
  • Collect, label, process, preserve, and store patient specimens.
  • Maintain CLIA compliance and laboratory quality systems.
  • Perform quality control, proficiency testing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration.
  • Recognize critical laboratory values and respond appropriately.
  • Coordinate daily operations of physician practice laboratories.
  • Train and mentor laboratory staff.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory and documentation.
  • Support clinic workflow and patient care.
Job Qualifications Required
  • Associate of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology or Bachelor's in Medical Laboratory Science.
  • Two years laboratory training/experience; two years supervising non-waived testing; one year in a moderate complexity laboratory.
  • Certification or registry eligible (ASCP, AMT, AAB, HEW, ISCLT, NCA, ASMT, or ASCLT).
  • Knowledge of CLIA regulations, laboratory quality systems, computer proficiency, and English communication.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
  • Five or more years laboratory experience.
  • Current ASCP certification.
