Job description

| POSITION                                       High School Special Education Lab Aide 
| LOCATION                                      Fairfield Township Campus


| GENERAL DESCRIPTION             
The Special Education Lab Aide supports Special Education staff by assisting students in the lab setting.  She/He will provide support to students as they develop their skills in their chosen career lab, assist in the provision of appropriate accommodations in lab and classroom settings, and contribute to the reporting of student progress


| QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma.  Some college or college degree in related area preferred;
  • Current or willing and able to obtain an Ohio Department of Education Educational Aide permit;
  • Experience working directly in small groups or one on one with adolescents and/or reinforcing learning concepts and English language development preferred;
  • Willingness and ability to acquire task specific knowledge required for administration of tests and documentation of student performance;
  • Proven ability to develop positive working relationships with students, peers and administration;
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks with better than average attention to detail;
  • Computer expertise appropriate to the position;
  • Valid drivers' license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance;
  • History of good job attendance; and
  • Must pass criminal background check.
