Our client is looking to hire on a Lab Technician to join their team! Our client is a company here in Columbus that is set to experience HUGE growth over the next 10 years. They are a US based company that specializes in the manufacturing of products for the medical and research industries, and the growth potential is there for any individual looking to join their team and make a difference.
The Lab Technician is responsible for supporting the organization"s production and quality
operations by performing accurate testing, maintaining laboratory equipment, and documenting
results. This position ensures that all products meet internal, industry, and regulatory standards
through careful sample handling and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Follow verbal and written instructions precisely and adhere strictly to all laboratory protocols
and safety guidelines.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized laboratory environment.
- Receiving, labeling, and safely storing samples to be tested.
- Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report.
- Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results.
- Discussing and answering any questions regarding testing data.
- Organizing and storing samples according to all safety and other requirements to ensure the
safety of personnel and integrity of the sample.
- Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment.
- Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs.
- Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field
- Reporting any non-conformities to department Supervisor or upper management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience working within a lab setting.
- Chemicals and manufacturing background heavily preferred.
- Proficiency in using lab pH meters, ovens, microscopes, and basic chemical analysis tools.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to ensure reliable testing and
documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate well within a team.
- Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Understanding of electronic equipment and computerized lab equipment.
- Previous use of lab meters, microscope and chemical understanding.
