Job description

(W2VHE) Level 3 Computer Field Technician - 5+ years of business professional work experience in the computer installation field. Comptia A+ certification and/or associate's degree in computer field preferred.
Job Details:
  • Location: University of Michigan (campus) (80% travel)
  • Work days: Monday through Friday.
  • Shift: 8:00AM-5:00PM.
  • Duration: 6 month pilot with a possibility to 3 years and turn into a full-time position.

Job Description: (Process could possibly take several weeks)
  • Travel to different campus sites for device install, de-install, and general setup.
  • Imaging SCCM in Customer staging area.
  • Installation and De-installation of PC Computers.
  • Data Migration via USMT (as needed).
  • Updating Customer ticketing system.

Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Repetitive motion capability, good eye/hand coordination, manual dexterity sufficient to assemble units or small parts of equipment, detailed oriented and ability to work aloneREQUIRED:
  • Level 2: Associates degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Services, or related field, or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Criminal Background check/10 panel drug screening required.
