Join our team as a Detail Editor!
Inter-State Studio is a family-owned school photography and yearbook company that has been successfully serving schools for 90 years.
By listening to the needs of our customers and utilizing the latest technologies, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality school portraits and yearbooks with affordable pricing and excellent service.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Detail Editor to join our production team. In this seasonal role, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing all images received in the plant, ensuring that every photo meets our high standards of quality and consistency. This position offers the potential to move into a full-time role based on performance and business needs. The schedule can vary, with opportunities for first, mid, or second shifts.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Image Review and Editing: Review and edit images for all job types and promotions, ensuring head sizes are consistent throughout each job.
  • Quality Control: Identify and report photography issues such as light failures, dust spots, and glass glare. Ensure each subject’s composite print is accurate.
  • Technical Adjustments: Verify crop ratios, adjust face boxes that are too large or small, and ensure overall image accuracy.
  • Maintain Standards: Follow the 5S workplace organization system for cleanliness and organization in the department. Participate in safety exercises twice daily.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and maintain the highest standards of image quality.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the production team.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good work history with an excellent attendance record.
  • Post-Offer Background check and Drug screen.

  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Technology Proficiency: Basic computer skills preferred.

Positions available on 1st and 2nd shift (shift differential offered for 2nd shift).
