Job description

Description
 The Order Builder orders, receives, stores, and maintains inventory levels for distribution within the warehouse by performing the following duties. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  •  Reads schedule, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed; records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. 
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas; sorts and places materials and items from receiving areas to storage, on racks, shelves, in bins, and other designated areas, according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code. Ensures that all inventoried items are distributed based on FIFO. (First IN – First Out)
  • Places product orders with designated suppliers and ensures that all normally stocked items are available on a daily basis. Verifies all products received from suppliers to ensure accuracy and ensures that invoices are submitted to office personnel for reconciliation.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards; uses computer to enter records; compiles worksheets or tickets according to company specification. 
  • Maintain inventory levels and records; fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for new items and distributes items; marks products with identifying information; opens bales, crates, boxes and other containers; sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment; performs job safely. 
  • Other duties may be assigned. 

Job Requirements
  •  High school diploma or GED 
  • Knowledge of basic work area operations and procedures 
  • Lift at least 50Lb 
  • Adhere to all standard operation procedures 
  • Reliable Transportation 
  • Must be able to multi-task 
  • Strong attention to detail
