Job description

Do you have a passion for building and maintaining PC's and working with technology? This is a hands-on entry level opportunity to do just that! You will receive and track inventory, create and submit tickets, as well as, diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.

What we offer:

  • Pay: $16.50
  • 100% in office work
  • Candidates must reside in or around Central Ohio.(within 35 miles of Columbus, OH)
  • Office Location - One Nationwide Plaza, Columbus, OH 43215
  • Hours - Monday through Friday; Hours 8 am- 4:30 pm.
  • Paid weekly, substantial pay increase once converted into a full time employee

About the Team:

PC Services – Hardware Management & Provisioning team exists as an end-to-end solution to deliver associates quality computing devices. We focus on the entire hardware lifecycle from acquisition to retirement. Our goal is to ensure the right processes, people and technologies are in place to meet our customers’ expectations.

Responsibilities

What you would be doing:

  • Handle the surplus process in the build center, including receiving(Opening boxes with returned equipment 40-60 per day), maintenance(Testing, running diagnostics, asset tagging, warranty repair, creating tickets) and cleaning of laptops, desktops, and monitors
  • Performed diagnostic tests and memory upgrades on used laptops
  • Communicated with internal employees to aid in their return to office by ordering equipment on their behalf

Qualified candidates will have the following skills:

  • Knowledge of PC Hardware and peripherals a plus and Inventory/Warehouse Knowledge
  • Self-starter: Ability to work effectively without constant supervision.
  • Ability to efficiently and securely package and ship PCs and accessories to end users.
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage conversations with customers and management not only for daily tasks.
  • Detail oriented to ensure minimal shipping errors and high accuracy with ticket fulfillment.
  • Ability to balance multiple workloads under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide/guidance support to others.
  • Ability to easily adapt on the fly to process and procedural changes
