Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced CompTIA Instructor to join our training and education team. This part-time position is ideal for a passionate IT professional who thrives on helping others succeed. The instructor will deliver high-quality, interactive instruction for CompTIA Tech+, A+, and Security+ certification courses, preparing students for successful careers in IT support and related fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, handson instruction that aligns with CompTIA certification objectives (Tech+, A+, and Security+).
  • Develop lesson plans, lab exercises, and practice assessments to reinforce learning outcomes.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all learners feel valued and encouraged.
  • Facilitate interactive labs and realworld troubleshooting scenarios to build practical skills.
  • Coach and support students toward timely exam completion and certification achievement.
  • Track student progress and provide individualized feedback and support.
  • Stay current with CompTIA certification updates and evolving IT industry trends.
  • Collaborate with staff to enhance curriculum, resources, and student success outcomes.
  • Qualifications
  • Required Certifications: Current CompTIA Tech+, A+, and Security+.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in IT support, help desk, or a related technical field.
  • Teaching Experience: 3+ years of experience teaching or training, preferably with adult learners.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills. Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners and varying tech proficiency levels. Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and the ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs of hardware for lab setup.
