ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for the operation of certain machines used in Compounding processes. Works under direct supervision from the Compounding Supervisor. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning throughout the department, as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Maintain a 5S standard in your work area.
  • Maintain a 5S standard in the East Warehouse.
  • Complete any housekeeping or 5S task, when directed by Supervisor
  • Using a Yard dog, transport production and raw material between the East Warehouse and the plant.
  • Using a forklift, properly organize raw materials once they have been brought over from East Warehouse.
  • Using a forklift and overhead crane, unload raw material from bags or supersacks into containers to ensure process continuity.
  • Log what material is loaded into each containers
  • Using a forklift, unload raw material from boxes, using the box dumper.
  • Maintain a 5S standard in the box dumper area.
  • Log what material is loaded through the box dumper.
  • Collect QC samples and deliver them to the QC lab for analysis.
  • Using a forklift, create boxes for finished good product or material designated to be on hold, if required.
  • Unload material from Validation bins into boxes, if required
  • Using a forklift, transport boxes to appropriate areas.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues in the process
  • Assist in process startup
  • Complete End of Week Shutdown tasks, as directed by Supervisor
  • Wearing the proper PPE for the task at hand
  • Actively participating in Safety training and other meetings
  • Observe machine operation and alert Supervisor or Compounding Tech II if the machine is not operating as intended.
  • Other tasks as assigned
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in manufacturing
  • Experience in extrusion, chemical mixing or chemical compounding operations a plus
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide and the ability to perform these operations using units of measure for weight, using both metric (kg) and English (lb) units.
  • Basic PC knowledge (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Able to work independently and as a team player
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Strong work ethic with great attention to detail

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
