Integre des scenes de premier plan, de milieu de plan et d'arriere-plan pour prolonger un decor, une scene, un environnement ou un effet et incorpore des personnages ou des objets numeriques dans les scenes. Capacite a composer plusieurs types de plans, de simples a moyennement difficiles. Connaissance approfondie des progiciels, notamment Nuke. Un diplome de 2 ans ou un certificat d'un an est le plus souhaitable, mais une experience pertinente de minimalement 2 a 3 ans peut etre acceptee.

Excellent communication skills in French and English. The compositor works on productions involving teams located outside Quebec, including in the United States. Artistic direction exchanges, shot approvals, and technical communications are frequently conducted in English. To maintain a level of expertise consistent with industry standards, the candidate must attend conferences, workshops, review publications, and complete advanced training in the field, which are often offered exclusively in English.

Sony Imageworks Vancouver is seeking Compositors!

Combines layers of previously created materials (e.g., rendered animation, special effects, graphics, live action, static background plates) to create final images that meet art direction. Integrates foreground, mid-ground and background scenes to extend a set, scene, environment or effect and incorporates characters or digital objects into scenes. Creates seamless transition from filmed footage into composited content. Accountable for meeting efficiency and quota targets.

Qualifications:

Ability to composite multiple types of shots from simple to moderately difficult. In-depth knowledge of relevant software including Nuke. Most desired 2 year diploma or 1 year certificate however minimal requirement of 2-3 years of meaningful experience may be accepted.

Please note that you must be able to provide a demo reel that illustrates your relevant artistic and technical experience that also includes the nuances for this specific role.
