Job description

Precision Composite Assembly and Layup Technician

Pay: $18โ€“$22/hr depending on experience

Do you enjoy hands-on work where accuracy matters? Are calipers, micrometers, and indicators second nature? Can you move confidently between resin mixing, hand-finishing, and structural assembly? If so, youโ€™ll feel right at home at Composite Resources in Rock Hill, SCโ€”part of the Re:Build Manufacturing family.

A quick look at the role
  • Master the application and handling of resin systems (Epoxy, Polyester, Vinyl ester, Silicones, etc.).
  • Hand-finish patterns and molds prior to production.
  • Use common hand tools for cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembly.
  • Prepare and assemble structures with adhesive bonding and fastener installation.
  • Perform self-quality checks to confirm tight tolerances are met.
What weโ€™re looking for
  • Early-career professionals with 1โ€“3 years in fast-paced manufacturing.
  • Experience with composites (Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, Fiberglass) strongly preferred as a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read/interpret SOPs and suggest improvements.
  • Measurement proficiency with calipers, micrometers, tape measure, indicators.
  • Demonstrated fabrication skills and tool use.
  • Background in assembly, bonding, and fastener applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Shift preference

We are actively hiring for second shift. Preference: Mondayโ€“Thursday, 2:30pmโ€“1:30am.
