Carfair Composites - Composite Operator

Position Summary: As a Composite Operator at Carfair, you will play a critical role in the fabrication and assembly of composite components, using a variety of materials and manufacturing techniques to meet production and quality standards.

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:30 am- 3:00 pm

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:00 pm- 1:30 am

Wage: $22.75

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare molds and composite materials for production processes.
  • Perform lamination, hand lay-ups, and other composite manufacturing techniques.
  • Apply resin and fiberglass layers as per specifications.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to shape and finish composite parts.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure components meet standards.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and continuous improvement goals.
  • Participate in training and development activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in composite manufacturing or related field is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with fiberglass, resins, and composite materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to safely handle and use various hand and power tools.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 20 lbs and standing for extended periods.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
