About the role:

As a Senior Chemical Engineer, you will support Component Engineering and Chemistry Operations working with plant personnel and Westinghouse counterparts to support asset management.

You will report to the Manager, Component Engineering & Chemistry Operations. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse facility in Cranberry Twp, PA. We will not provide relocation for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gain experience on plant operations as it relates to primary/fuel and reactor chemistry and secondary/steam chemistry
  • Operational chemistry assessments to manage secondary side chemistry and maintenance planning
  • Chemistry program planning and control changes
  • Use general chemistry expertise for application to water chemistry control and material applications
  • Troubleshoot relative to plant systems, modification programs, temporary and permanent material usage, and chemistry program management
Qualifications:
  • B.S. Chemical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • We require knowledge of general chemistry and data interpretation.
  • We prefer Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) knowledge.
  • We prefer knowledge of PWR secondary side chemistry and steam generator operation.
  • We prefer knowledge of PWR primary reactor coolant chemistry.
  • We require technical writing proficiency.
  • To support decisive decision-making and collaborative asset management planning are important to the position

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. We estimate the base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, to be 85,200 to 106,500 per year.
