About the Role

The Manager II, Compliance will partner with the Compliance Department in developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective Compliance Program that (1) supports and promotes a Companywide culture of ethics and compliance, and (2) meets or exceeds applicable regulatory standards for effective compliance programs, including the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Guidance, the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, and the Department of Justice guidance.  As a member of a collaborative team, this role will contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of all elements of the Tarsus Compliance program.

Let's talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:

  • Serve as the execution lead for the end-to-end transparency reporting process, including oversight of applicable federal and state reporting requirements, partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate data collection and review, managing external vendor relationships, delivering training, and maintaining supporting systems to ensure timely and compliant submissions.
  • Support compliance with applicable federal and state healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards by monitoring regulatory developments and partnering with internal stakeholders to assess impact, implement appropriate controls, and ensure alignment with Company policies.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and data outputs related to transparency reporting and operational compliance processes, ensuring high data quality and accuracy. Partner with Compliance Data Analytics Lead to support broader analytics and insights initiatives and proactively explore opportunities to leverage data analytics and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance processes, identify trends, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage and optimize relationships with external vendors supporting transparency reporting and related systems, including oversight of data quality, performance, and process improvements.
  • Assist the Compliance Officer with other projects and tasks as needed.
  • Provide ongoing support for the Company by assisting with employee questions and concerns.

Factors for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in healthcare compliance, life sciences, consulting, audit, data analytics, or other roles supporting regulated or complex environments.
  • Knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply, federal and state healthcare laws and regulations, including Federal Healthcare Program requirements and FDA regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience supporting or managing transparency reporting programs, including federal Open Payments and applicable state reporting requirements a plus.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical guidance for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, improve, or scale processes, systems, or workflows in a fast-paced or evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and partner effectively with cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, coupled with strong ethics and integrity.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive, self-starter mindset.
  • Experience working with data analytics, reporting tools, or emerging technologies (including AI) to improve processes, generate insights, or enhance operational efficiency preferred.
  • Certification of Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) a plus.

The expected base pay range for this position is $120,000 - $168,000 plus bonus, stock equity, and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
