Job description

Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Canton, OH
Company: Technibus, Inc.
Position Summary:
Technibus, Inc. is seeking a safety-focused and dependable Material Handler to join our manufacturing team in Canton, Ohio. This position is responsible for the safe movement, staging, and handling of large electrical equipment and materials throughout the production facility. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging heavy loads in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
While Technibus is willing to train the right candidate, applicants with prior material handling, rigging, and heavy equipment experience will be able to contribute more quickly and help support production efficiency and workplace safety.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Safely move, transport, and stage materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move equipment weighing up to 60,000 pounds.
  • Perform proper rigging techniques to safely lift and transport heavy loads.
  • Execute tandem movements using both forklifts and overhead cranes when required.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials while ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
  • Verify materials against work orders and production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate inventory movement and material locations.
  • Inspect forklifts, cranes, lifting devices, and rigging equipment before use and report any defects.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work closely with production, shipping, and receiving teams to support manufacturing operations.
