Position Specific Description
The Property Tax team plays an important role in supporting NextEra Energy by managing one of the company's significant recurring tax obligations. The team works across a wide range of assets, including generation facilities, renewable projects, and transmission and distribution infrastructure, helping ensure assets are accurately valued and tax positions are well supported across multiple jurisdictions
In this role, responsibilities include supporting asset valuation analyses, preparing and reviewing property tax filings, analyzing assessments and tax bills, and building financial models and supporting workpapers. The position also partners closely with teams across Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Operations, and contributes to areas such as project development, M&A due diligence, and property tax appeals.
Job Overview
This position is responsible for supporting property tax services for specific company projects or assignments. Employees in this job work closely with members of the property tax team preparing tangible personal property tax returns and participating on property tax projects and process improvement efforts.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
