Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position will primarily assist with compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information across various business units and/or departments within J.B. Hunt. Responsibilities will involve supporting senior management business decisions through financial and business analysis.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with analysis and review of the organization's financial performance by collecting, analyzing and reporting financial and statistical data
  • Create and develop reports and presentations on financial performance for internal use by management and operations team
  • Create and utilize automated tools for the updating, analyzing and reporting of consolidated financial results
  • Develop innovative and effective solutions to problems in financial analysis, reporting and/or forecasting through individual effort or as part of a team
  • Input and monitor financial data into appropriate financial systems (e.g., Workday)
  • Retrieve and manipulate data to confirm accuracy and reasonableness within operational tables
  • Support finance and accounting needs wherever called for within the organization
  • Work with internal staff and external vendors to clarify differences and reconcile conflicts
  • Act as primary contact on aligned financial reporting
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED. 2-3 years in business administration, business analysis, finance, or military equivalent AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military experience, or other experiences.
  • Ability to leverage AI to streamline business processes
  • Ability to make independent, time-sensitive decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work both individually and as a team
  • Ability to collect, analyze and present data in a concise manner
  • Ability to build and run automated workflows using Python
  • Ability to create & maintain dashboards in Microsoft PowerBI
  • Ability to utilize SQL
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies/software applications
  • Knowledge of Procurement & Payables processes
  • Knowledge of Financial & Accounting Systems
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Excel and Access
  • Ability to successfully manage a P&L
  • Knowledge of formal budgeting processes

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in business administration, Transportation Logistics, Finance or related field. 2-3 years' experience in Financial Analyst specific role
  • Applicants can be considered for I, II, or Sr. Level

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
