Job description

The Director, Commercial Insights & Analytics leads the commercial analytics, market insights, and competitive intelligence strategy for the Health Division, enabling data-driven decisions that improve sales effectiveness, customer growth, retention, and commercial performance. This role owns the KPIs, data infrastructure, dashboards, predictive analytics, and competitive intelligence that measure and optimize the end-to-end customer lifecycle - from pipeline and forecasting to pricing, renewals, and expansion.

As a strategic partner to Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Enterprise Data teams, you will deliver actionable insights and market context that improve forecasting, pipeline health, pricing, sales productivity, renewals, and customer expansion, while tracking competitor positioning and market shifts to keep commercial strategy ahead of the market. Leveraging Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, AI, and advanced analytics, you will transform commercial and market data into executive-ready insights that drive growth and operational excellence.

Leading a high-performing analytics, competitive intelligence, and market research team, you will establish enterprise analytics standards, champion AI-driven decision-making, and serve as a trusted advisor to commercial leadership on business performance, market dynamics, and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the commercial analytics and market insights strategy supporting revenue growth, customer retention, and sales productivity.
  • Develop KPI frameworks, executive dashboards, and predictive analytics models that improve commercial performance and decision-making speed.
  • Own the organization's competitive intelligence program - tracking competitor positioning, pricing, product moves, and market share shifts, and translating findings into battlecards, playbooks, and sales enablement content.
  • Measure the effectiveness and ROI of sales, marketing, pricing, and customer success initiatives, and use market/competitive context to explain performance against the broader landscape.
  • Conduct market sizing, segmentation, and industry trend research (TAM/SAM) to inform go-to-market strategy, territory design, and resource allocation.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Enterprise Data teams to deliver actionable business insights and ensure market intelligence is embedded in planning and incentive design.
  • Lead the commercial analytics roadmap, including AI, automation, reporting, and data governance capabilities, establishing enterprise-wide analytics standards.
  • Deliver the data, forecasting models, and competitive context that power executive business rhythms, including QBRs, forecast reviews, account reviews, and annual planning.
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing Commercial Insights & Analytics team, fostering a culture of rigor, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, influencing decision-making through data-driven recommendations and identifying growth opportunities and competitive risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Commercial Analytics, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Intelligence, Market Insights, Competitive Intelligence, or Strategy.
  • 5+ years leading analytics, business intelligence, or competitive intelligence teams.
  • Experience supporting high-growth SaaS organizations.
  • Expertise with Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, forecasting, pipeline analytics, market segmentation, and commercial performance measurement.
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and analytical leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Experience with AI/ML, predictive analytics, and commercial transformation.
  • Knowledge of healthcare information, clinical technology, or subscription-based business models.
  • Familiarity with competitive intelligence platforms (e.g., Klue, Crayon).
