Responsibilities

The Manager, Executive & Corporate Compensation is responsible for the design, administration, and analysis of company-wide executive and corporate compensation programs. This role oversees stock plan administration, supports Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors processes and materials, contributes to the annual proxy Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A), leads annual merit and incentive cycles, serves as the system owner for the SuccessFactors HRIS compensation module, and ensures job architecture and job descriptions are accurate and aligned with organizational strategy.ย ย This position partners closely with HR Business Partners, Finance, Legal, Payroll, and senior leadership to ensure compensation programs are competitive, compliant, performance-driven, and operationally sound.ย  In this role you will be responsible for the following:

Executive Compensation

  • Support the analysis and administration of the General Dynamics executive compensation program, including base salary, annual incentives, and long-term incentive plans.
  • Assist in developing and preparing materials for the Compensation Committee, including briefing books, competitive analyses, and meeting presentations.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and external advisors to support preparation of the annual proxy statement, including drafting and analysis for the Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A).
  • Assist with development of executive compensation disclosures, tables, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and governance best practices impacting executive compensation.

Stock Plan Administration

  • Oversee administration of equity compensation programs, including grants, vesting, exercises, and distributions.
  • Partner with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax, accounting, and securities regulations.
  • Manage employee and executive communications related to equity programs and provide guidance to plan participants.

Broad-Based Compensation Programs

  • Lead the CHQ annual merit increase and bonus planning processes, including budgeting, modeling, manager guidance, and executive reporting.
  • Administer and manage the SuccessFactors HRIS compensation planning module, including system configuration, testing, workflow management, reporting, and user support.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within SuccessFactors and coordinate with HR, Payroll, and IT teams on system updates and enhancements.
  • Conduct market pricing and benchmarking analyses to ensure competitive positioning.
  • Support the design and administration of broad-based incentive and recognition programs.

Job Architecture & Documentation

  • Create, maintain, and update job descriptions to reflect organizational changes and market alignment.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to ensure roles are clearly defined and appropriately leveled.
  • Maintain job architecture, salary structures, and internal equity frameworks.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Provide compensation modeling, cost impact analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Develop reports to support decision-making by senior leadership and the Compensation Committee.
  • Ensure data integrity across HRIS, equity systems, and compensation tools.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compensation programs comply with federal, state, and international regulations as applicable.
  • Support internal and external audits related to compensation and equity administration.
  • Maintain documentation and governance processes to support defensibility.
Qualifications

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Six+ years of progressive compensation experience, including executive compensation and equity administration preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Equity Professional (CEP) or similar certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience administering compensation planning modules within SuccessFactors or similar HRIS platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting Compensation Committee materials and proxy disclosure, including exposure to CD&A drafting and analysis preferred.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize multiple high-visibility projects.
  • Working knowledge of equity plan administration systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Understanding of regulatory and disclosure requirements related to executive compensation and equity plans.
