Position Summary

The Compensation Manager is a key member of the Total Rewards leadership team responsible for advancing the organization's compensation strategy, programs, and governance framework. This role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global compensation programs that support business objectives, attract and retain talent, reinforce a performance-driven culture, and ensure market competitiveness.

Serving as a trusted advisor to Global HR and Business leaders, this role provides strategic consultation on pay decisions, job architecture, incentive design, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness. The role leverages data, market intelligence, and analytics to influence decision-making, drive pay equity and transparency initiatives, and ensure alignment with the company's Total Rewards philosophy and global talent strategy.

This is ahybrid rolewith the requirement of workingonsite at our Mentor, OH Corporate HQ, 2 days per week (Tue+Thur).Requires the ability and willingness to be in the office more as needed.

What you will do as Compensation Manager
  • Partner with Total Rewards leadership to develop and execute global compensation strategies that support business objectives, talent priorities, and organizational growth.
  • Lead compensation governance, ensuring consistent application of pay programs, policies, and decision-making frameworks across the enterprise.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on workforce planning, pay decisions, organizational design, promotions, and retention strategies.
  • Design, administer, and continuously improve base pay, incentive, executive compensation, and recognition programs.
  • Manage annual compensation processes, including merit planning, salary structure management, incentive funding, and budgeting.
  • Direct market pricing, competitive benchmarking, and compensation analytics to inform strategic workforce and investment decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with compensation regulations while advancing pay equity, pay transparency, and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement of compensation policies and programs to enhance effectiveness, scalability, and employee experience.
  • Support global compensation programs, mobility processes, and job architecture frameworks to drive consistency, scalability, and career growth.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, HR or related field, including exposure to compensation principles and practices.
  • Microsoft skills include Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Advanced spreadsheet and database capabilities required

Preferred:

  • Long-term incentice, executive compensation experience a plus
  • Experience working for a global organization, pay equity and EU pay directive experience a plus
  • Experience managing enterprise recognition platforms and designing and administering incentive plans is a plus

Pay range for this opportunity is$107,525.00-$139,150.00.This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
