This is a hybrid position requiring minimum 3 days a week in office in Charlotte, NC. 

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Compensation Analyst, you will serve as a consultant to HR and business leaders globally on a wide variety of compensation-related topics.  You will help shape compensation philosophy while ensuring the integrity of our compensation strategy and practices through execution of sound policy and governance practices. You will serve as a subject matter expert for global base pay administration with emphasis on job evaluations, salary recommendations, market benchmarking, and salary survey participation to ensure that our positions continue to align to market and remain competitive. 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

Market Analysis

  • Conduct job analysis to determine appropriate salary levels according to job leveling guidelines, maintain documentation including job descriptions, survey benchmarks, FLSA classifications and relevant supporting data.
  • Evaluate individual jobs and job families by analyzing external competitiveness and internal equity to make compensation recommendations.

Survey Management

  • Manage Market Pay (on-line market pricing system) administration.
  • Participate in salary surveys for multiple countries adhering to deadlines and job match accuracy.

Compensation Administration

  • Participate in the analysis, design, implementation and communication of the global annual salary review process.
  • Develop and maintain competitive pay structures
  • Support the administration of the short-term and long-term incentive programs.

Systems Administration & Governance

  • Work with HRIS/HRMS teams to ensure that SuccessFactors is updated to reflect changes to salary structures, bonus programs, vendor interfaces, etc.
  • Conduct compensation audits and assist with preparation of analytics and reports

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • 3+ Years related experience with an analytical acumen, preferably in Compensation Administration
  • Ability to conduct thorough job analysis including benchmarking to external market data and internal equity.
  • Ability to audit complex sets of data, draw conclusions, make recommendations and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws relating to compensation

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience managing survey administration including responding to surveys and interpreting results
  • Familiarity with Market Pay or similar market benchmarking tools

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or human resource management or equivalent experience
  • Certified Compensation Professional or GRP

Travel & Working Environment

  • Hybrid schedule working onsite 3+ days per week
  • Minimal travel
