Job description

A&P Technology is a seventh generation, family-owned, world-leading producer of precision braided textiles. The basis of A&P Technology's success as a company comes from its investment in people who are passionate about braid, its development of machinery that is the most technologically advanced in the world, and its desire to propagate the entrepreneurial spirit from which it originated.

Due to our success, we are seeking candidates for a Third Shift Machine Operator position. A qualified candidate must display a willingness to learn, pay attention to detail, contain basic computer skills, and possess proven ability to maintain a stable work history. 

Responsibilities Include:

•              Following quality control specifications

•              Setting up and shutting down machines

•              Running multiple machines at a time

•              Understanding machine components and their purposes

•              Familiarizing oneself with the types of braid designs and materials used

•              Inspecting/troubleshooting issues that may arise while running machines

•              Using cutting devices and basic hand tools

•              Using manual dexterity to set up machinery

•              Measuring products for verification

•              Recording and entering data into computer

•              Communicating clearly with co-workers and supervisors

•              Working with others to meet deadlines

Requirements:

•              High school diploma/GED required

•              Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
