Job description

Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Program Director to join our dynamic Water Group in Texas. This position reports to the Director of National Sales and is responsible for leading and growing our water business in Texas and support growth nationally. Qualified candidates will have extensive experience in leading regional business development for a water practice.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.  Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

What You Will Do:

  • Ignite Growth: Build and expand Woolpert's water resources, stormwater, and coastal engineering services while driving business opportunities in groundwater, water supply, and water master planning. 
  • Inspire Teams: Lead and mentor passionate professionals, cultivating a high-performing team ready to tackle complex challenges. 
  • Innovate Boldly: Leverage cutting-edge technologies to deliver real-time flood predictions, adaptive wet weather controls, harmful algal bloom forecasting, and more. 
  • Drive Results: Lead business development efforts with Federal, state, and local agencies in the across Texas and the surrounding region.
  • Elevate Impact: Represent Woolpert as a thought leader at industry events, conferences, and client-centric engagements, while developing visionary solutions tailored to client needs. 

What You Will Bring:

  • A Passion for Excellence: A BA/BS in Civil, Biosystems, or Environmental Engineering/Science (MA/MS preferred) and 10-12+ years of related experience. 
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Proven success in business development and client relationship management, particularly with Texas local and state agencies. 
  • Innovative Leadership: A PE license (preferred), advanced technical expertise, and a proactive approach to leveraging new technologies. 
  • Collaborative Mindset: Experience building and leading high-performing teams and driving consensus across stakeholders. 
  • Results Orientation: Strong problem-solving skills, negotiation expertise, and the ability to drive projects to exceed client expectations. 
  • Travel: Must be able to travel (25-50%) as required to meet the needs and demands of the Market.
