Job description

General Description: The Program Assistant communicates with organizational components, family and community representatives in a consistent manner. Reports directly to the Area Director. Works cooperatively with Program Director.

Education Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent; minimum one year of experience in the field. Must have a valid NC driver’s license and be at least 18 years of age.

Clearance Requirements: Clear healthcare registry and background check. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Hours: (Monday-Friday) (Part-time:15 hours/week)

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing the following duties:

  • File all documentation.
  • Make new charts when an intake is completed.
  • Close out charts when the participants case closes.
  • Print and upload monthly notes.
  • Review charts monthly and send needed documents to Employment Specialists and Area Directors.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings.
  • Greet people served and notify Employment Specialist and/or Area Director of their arrival.
  • Shred paperwork as needed.
  • Perform light cleaning duties.
  • Answer phone and direct calls accordingly.
  • Send charts to QA/QI monthly as requested.
  • Read and initial all memos and notices.
  • Attend all required in-service training courses.
  • Always Maintain confidentiality.
  • Responsive for knowing and adhering to all Federal, State, City, Cape Fear Group Homes, Inc. procedures, directives, and regulations.
  • Complete other duties as delegated by immediate supervisor.
