The Community Outreach Network is seeking a dedicated and professional Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team on a full-time basis. • Conduct thorough assessments to identify social, emotional, and environmental challenges facing clients.
• Design and implement personalized service plans that include clear goals, targeted interventions, and metrics for progress tracking.
• Engage in individual and family counseling sessions, focusing on developing coping strategies and enhancing overall well-being.
• Coordinate with clients to connect them with community resources, ensuring they have access to necessary services and support.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed, including risk assessments and safety planning to navigate critical situations.
• Work collaboratively with local agencies and organizations to advocate for client needs and facilitate service coordination.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness of available services and reducing stigma associated with seeking help.
• Contribute to team collaboration through participation in case conferences, regular meetings, and continuous training sessions.

This role focuses on vulnerable segments of the population who may be dealing with complex issues such as mental health challenges, housing instability, and substance use disorders. You will work empathetically to provide the necessary interventions and support, seeking to empower clients by connecting them with resources that foster resilience and improved quality of life.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• An active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is a must for this position.
• Demonstrated understanding of social justice issues and trauma-informed care practices are essential.
• Strong communication skills combined with cultural competence and an ability to solve problems effectively will be crucial for success in this role.

• Experience within a social service agency or in a relevant community-based setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with local resources specific to Norfolk, Virginia, and surrounding areas will enhance the ability to support clients effectively.
• Prior involvement in community outreach or advocacy work will be beneficial.
